The holiday season should be a time of celebration but, as the cost-of-living soars, too many families face the heart-wrenching decision of choosing between daily essentials and providing the simple joys of Christmas for their children. With your support, Variety UnBox Joy aims to alleviate this hardship and bring a little magic to all kids at Christmas time.

This Christmas, with your help, we hope to provide toys to over 5,000 kids in need. On average each child receives toys costing $65.

By giving today, and leaving a Secret Santa  message for a child if you choose, you can give a child who would otherwise miss out joy, inclusion and a sense of belonging.

Make your gift extra special! Alongside your gift, you can choose to add a message for a child. Each message will be displayed on our virtual tree and be handwritten on to a card and attached to a toy bag given to a child in need. 

UNBOX JOY FOR KIDS LIKE LILY AND HER BROTHER JACK!

Lily is a seven-year-old girl who loves to draw. Last Christmas, Lily’s family couldn’t afford gifts, and her mother feared the disappointment of an empty tree. But because of the generosity of donors like you, Lily received a painting kit and her brother, Jack, a LEGO set, lighting up their world.

Their mum, Carly, shared:

“Both Jack and Lily loved their gifts, when Lily unwrapped the painting kit, her eyes sparkled with joy. It wasn’t just a gift—it was a moment of pure happiness and relief. It made our Christmas feel whole again.”

Lily spent the rest of the holiday painting and building LEGO with her brother. Carly told us that not only did Lily’s creativity flourish, but happily she could also see Lily feeling proud and confident of her ideas and how she brought them to life. Carly explained that this confidence was especially important as Lily had become highly anxious when she had to change schools when their rental accommodation became too expensive. Kindness from people like you brings joy…and sometimes so much more.
