Tips & Tricks

1. Set a Big Goal!
Don’t be afraid to aim high! People love supporting a big challenge, and setting an ambitious target will motivate both you and your supporters. Plus, the more you raise, the more impact you’ll have. Break your goal into smaller milestones and celebrate each one to keep the momentum going! The best way to kick off is to make a personal donation to your page!
2. Start Early
The sooner you start fundraising, the more time you have to reach (or even exceed) your goal! Begin by setting up your fundraising page and sharing it with your friends, family, and colleagues. But don’t stop there - people often need reminders before they donate. Keep sharing your journey with regular updates, whether it’s about your fundraising progress, rally prep, or why this cause matters to you. The more people see your passion, the more likely they are to support you!

3. Tap Into Your Network
You’d be surprised how many people want to support you - sometimes they just need to be asked! Reach out to friends, family, colleagues, sports teams, and even local businesses. Share why you’re taking on the rally and how their donation can make a difference for kids in need. A heartfelt, personal message always works best.
4. Get Social
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok - whatever platform you use, get the word out! Post updates about your fundraising, share stories about the cause, and let people follow your rally prep. A simple post with a donation link can work wonders, and don’t forget to thank your donors with a shoutout!

5. Plan a FUNdraiser
Sometimes people need a little extra incentive to donate. Hosting a BBQ, trivia night, raffle, car wash, or even a morning tea at work can be a great way to get donations rolling in. Make it fun, get people involved, and let them know every dollar is helping kids in need.
6. Ask Your Workplace
Many companies have donation matching programs, which means they’ll double any funds you raise! Ask your employer if they have a corporate giving initiative—it’s one of the easiest ways to boost your total. If they don’t, they might still be happy to make a one-off donation or let you run a fundraiser at work.

7. Say Thank You
Never underestimate the power of a simple thank you! Whether it’s a quick text, an email, a social media shoutout, or even a handwritten note, showing appreciation goes a long way. Not only will it make your donors feel good, but they’ll be more likely to support you again in the future!
8. Unlock Your Badges
To celebrate your fundraising achievements, there are 8 badges for you to collect on your fundraising page - work to unlock them all and display your fundraising club level on your profile pic - from over $1,000 to join the Star Club to over $10,000 for the Legends Club!
