Four BIG Quarters of Entertainment

Officially endorsed by the AFL, we will be bringing you four quarters with half time entertainment that will rival the big dance itself.

The event will be presented by ‘voice of the AFL’ Craig Willis and Kate Meade from the Morning Rush Breakfast Show. You’ll be up on your feet for a live rendition of “Up There, Cazaly” by Mike Brady plus more guests and entertainment to be announced!

Craig Willis

Known as ‘the voice of the AFL’, Craig has spent more than 30 years as a presenter and announcer on our major networks and is an icon of Australian footy. Covering the biggest games from ANZAC Day, to the AFL Grand Final itself, there’s no match too big for Willis. Having joined us for more than 20 years at the Variety Toyota AFL Grand Final Lunch, we are very excited to welcome back an icon of Australian footy.

Kate Meade

Kate is the Co Host of the Morning Rush, a networked Breakfast Show with ACE Radio. She is joined with each morning with her Co Host Jon Vertigan, the past two years have seen the duo win Best Network Program in the Australian Commercial Radio Awards. Kate is also the Host of the Women of Influence Podcast and was named in the 2018 ARF 100 Women of Influence in Australia.

Jason & Billy

We're super excited to see two of our game's greatest full forwards coming together for kids in need. Billy made a name for himself as a star player for the Cats, followed by many years in the media, most notably a regular on The Footy Show. Dunstall, now a Fox Footy host, spent his AFL years at Hawthorn Football Club and is a three time Coleman medalist and two time All-Australian.

Mike Brady

It's not grand final time without Mike Brady! This legendary crooner will join us to belt out the classics - including the iconic “Up There Cazaly”. This footy anthem was the biggest selling local single of its time, with sales in excess of 250,000 and has become the unofficial anthem of all Australian Rules Football fans. His song “One Day In September” is part of football language, alongisde the sentimental favourite, “That’s What I Like About Football.

Vale Danny Frawley

The Board, staff and supporters of Variety - the Children's Charity are devastated to hear of the tragic passing of Danny Frawley. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, management, colleagues and the football community at this sad time.  Danny was due to appear at our Variety Toyota AFL Grand Final Lunch and was a great supporter of Variety and kids in need.

The Cause

The best bit, is that your money and all proceeds from the event will go towards helping kids in need, get a fair go in life. This year, we’re fundraising to provide four assistance dogs, each valued at $30,000 for Victorian kids.

Assistance dogs have a life changing impact for a range of families and are trained to help out in different ways. An assistance dog can alert a child to a forthcoming seizure, assist them in managing a physical disability or illness or support a child with autism and sensory issues to join in with their community.

Join us for this iconic event with the knowledge you'll be directly impacting the lives of three Victorian kids in need.
