Friends, Fundraising & a Bright Pink Mercedes

We're driving change for kids in need on the Variety Bash, the original outback motoring adventure built on mateship, challenge and making a real difference.

Behind the wheel of our bright pink 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300E, we're taking on the Variety Bash as Princess Peach, Princess Daisy and Princess Rosalina.

We first met through our children at early learning centre and, as we like to say, have rarely had a quiet night since. Over the years, our friendship has grown through family life, work, travel and a shared desire to make a positive difference in our community.

Outside of fundraising, we enjoy spending time together, whether that's tennis, travelling with our families or finding plenty of laughs along the way. We share a healthy sense of competition too, from racing each other in the prep Grand Prix years ago to the annual Christmas family sporting championships that remain a much-loved tradition.

Between us, we bring a few different passions to the team. Trish loves tennis, reading and cheering on Hawthorn, with Albania high on her travel wish list. Cindy has a lifelong passion for horses, competing across multiple disciplines while balancing life on a busy hobby farm raising her teenage sons. Heidi is the senior princess of the group at 60 years young and keeps busy with her three mostly grown-up children and the three dogs they've somehow left her to look after.

Community has always been at the heart of what we do. For Trish, it's also a family legacy, with her parents John and Gloria having completed seven Variety Bashes themselves. Together, we've completed a 60km fundraising walk for cancer research. Heidi has also taken part in charity walks supporting MND and mitochondrial disease, while Trish travelled to Cambodia with her children to help build homes through Habitat for Humanity. These experiences have only deepened our commitment to showing up for others.

As mothers, we believe in leading by example, showing our families the importance of empathy, community and giving back. Taking part in the Variety Bash is a natural extension of that. We're excited to meet local communities, visit schools and see firsthand the impact Variety has on children and families. More than anything, we're looking forward to the people, the camaraderie, the community spirit and the shared sense of purpose that makes the Bash so special.

For us, the Variety Bash is about more than the kilometres travelled. It's about friendship, community and making a difference for kids who need it most.

If you'd like to support our journey, we'd love your help. Every donation makes a difference and helps Variety continue supporting children and families who need it most.

Please back our Variety Bash car and donate to our fundraising page. Together, we can change lives, one town, one child and one kilometre at a time.
