2025 Variety Vic Bash - Hamilton (Vic) to Darwin (NT) - Please help us fundraise for Variety by donating on this page.

We are excited to sign up for the 2025 Variety Vic Bash, where we will travel from Hamilton (Vic) to Darwin (NT) - avoiding the bitumen - in an epic 5000 km journey in our 1988 Mercedes 300 SEL. The journey is the culmination of our collective fundraising efforts where each entrant (vehicle) needs to raise at least $7000* for Variety - The Children's Charity. 

All donations go directly to Variety and are tax deductible.



Variety – The Children’s Charity, have a mission “To empower Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs, to live, laugh and learn.” Along the way we stop at schools to donate equipment, and provide grants, for a better outcome.


In our previous four Variety Vic Bash's - [2018, 2019, 2022 and 2024] - we have been humbled in raising over $50,000 for Variety - The Children's Charity. Please help us continue to support this great cause.

We are now fundraising for the 2025 Variety Vic Bash. Please join in and support Variety by selecting on the amount to donate (top right hand corner of this page) and then clicking the Donate button on this webpage..

We hope to again raise over $10,000 for Variety - The Children's Charity.

In addition to fundraising, each team independently pays for their own accommodation, meals, event registration, fuel, refreshments, vehicle maintenance and Bash vehicle compliance. Then there is the cost of theme fit-out of the car and occupants. As you would expect, NASA equipment and space suits are quite expensive ! All of these costs are our teams 'out of pocket' expenses.

2024 Variety Vic Bash - Summary


In August 2024, from Swan Hill to the beautiful Airlie Beach, 244 passionate participants in 81 cars travelled across states, faced muddy adventures, and shared countless unforgettable moments. Each day was filled with joy, laughter, and generosity, granting bikes, toys, educational resources, and medical equipment to local children and schools.

The combined efforts of those 81 cars that embodied the true spirit of the Bash, raised a whopping $1,600,324 to support kids in need!

 

For those supporters who donated to this event a huge THANK YOU from our team – Car 11 Apollo 11 – in the 2024 Variety Vic Bash, where we raised over $10,000 thanks to your generosity. This was our 4th Variety Vic Bash and in total our team has raised over $50,000 through the years. All money donated went directly to Variety – The Children’s Charity and is tax deductible.
