The Variety Bikes for Kids program gives Victorian children experiencing disadvantage the chance to have their very own bike - often for the first time.
Whether it’s riding with friends, joining in at school or community events, or just enjoying the outdoors, a bike can completely change how a child feels about themselves and their place in the world.

Meet Wilson and Rita
Wilson is 7 - full of dreams, joy, and imagination. His little sister Rita is 5, always smiling and full of wonder. She’s non-verbal and uses sign language to communicate.
With the rising cost of living, two bikes were simply out of reach.
But thanks to kind-hearted people like you, we were able to say yes - and their dream came true.
Variety – the Children’s Charity presented brand-new bikes, helmets, and locks just in time for the holidays.
As Wilson took off - wobbly, then soaring - his smile said it all.
Those bikes gave Wilson and Rita more than a ride. They gave them freedom. Confidence. Belonging.
