Your Impact - Xmas Gifts

Lily is a seven-year-old girl who loves to draw. Last Christmas, Lily’s family couldn’t afford gifts, and her mother feared the disappointment of an empty tree. But because of the generosity of donors like you, Lily received a painting kit and her brother, Jack, a LEGO set, lighting up their world.

Their mum, Carly, shared:

“Both Jack and Lily loved their gifts, when Lily unwrapped the painting kit, her eyes sparkled with joy. It wasn’t just a gift—it was a moment of pure happiness and relief. It made our Christmas feel whole again.”

Your Impact - Individual Grants

Through your support, Variety provide individual grants to kids in need including mobility equipment like wheelcharis and walkers, communication devices, wigs, and essential medical and health equipment to support children with a medically diagnosed chronic illness or disability.

Your Impact - Service Dogs

Service dogs are working animals that are specially trained to help kids living with disability to manage sensory issues, move around, do everyday activities and tasks, and be more independent.

Elliot recently received funding for a service dog through Kabosu 4 Kids. Elliot is Autistic and lives with significant challenges in his life, particularly with communication. His dog will allow him to take part at school and in the community and bring lifelong changes to his wellbeing.

How is my gift secured?

expand_more expand_less

Unlike traditional transaction methods such as credit card payments and ACH or wire transactions (or worse - cheques!) which can take days to process completely and clear, sending Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies directly to a non-profit organisation only takes around 10 minutes until the organisation receives the funds.

This means donors can almost instantly verify the receipt of their gift by the non-profit organisation from anywhere in the world. If you provide an email address at the time of donation, you’ll have a receipt emailed as soon as the transaction is confirmed.

Because a blockchain relies on networks of thousands of computers to verify transactions, it is nearly impossible to tamper with the ledger. This layer of security should put donors at ease, especially when making large financial gifts. Even better—for nonprofits, there’s no risk of chargebacks like there are with credit cards.

Nonprofits using The Giving Block’s donation platform have custody and liquidity provided by Gemini, a licenced trust company that is regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS), an industry and world leader in cryptocurrency security and regulatory compliance.

The Giving Block was built with a security first mindset.
