Alex is a bright, determined young boy living with Pelizaeus‑Merzbacher Disease (PMD), a rare and life‑limiting neurological condition that affects his ability to move. While Alex understands everything around him and communicates using eye‑gaze and assistive technology, his body cannot respond as he intends. He relies entirely on others for mobility and daily care. Without a suitable wheelchair for the past two years, Alex’s world has become increasingly limited — affecting his health, schooling, and ability to be part of everyday life.

A New Bed for Arthur
At last year’s Inclusion Match, funds raised helped purchase a specialised Nino Bi‑Fold Bed & Mattress for Arthur, a loving four‑year‑old with a rare chromosomal anomaly (1q duplication and 9p deletion). Arthur experiences low muscle tone, global developmental delay, sensory processing challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties, making a safe, purpose‑built bed essential for his wellbeing.
We’re thrilled to share that Arthur now has his new bed, allowing him to sleep safely and comfortably, reducing risks, and giving his family the rest and stability they urgently need. Arthur lives with his parents, Emma and Aaron, and big sister Evelyn.
