Variety Victoria Bash 2025
1. Introduction
Variety – the Children’s Charity of Victoria is committed to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants in its motoring events. These Terms & Conditions apply to all individuals, including participants, volunteers, guests or visitors to the event and involved in any aspect of a Variety Motoring Event.2. Welfare & Behaviour
Safety is the highest priority. All participants must:• Ensure responsible behaviour, including moderation of alcohol consumption.
• Maintain legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) levels while driving.
• Report inappropriate behaviour or incidents to Event Management (Variety Victoria Officials).
• Hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), listing Variety as the organisation.
• Take responsibility for their own safety and that of others.
Note: Car Captains are responsible for their crew’s conduct, including guests of the crew. Breaches may result in removal from the event and exclusion from future events.
3. Eligibility & Selection
• Variety reserves the right to exclude participants based on internal criteria.• No obligation exists to provide reasons for non selection.
• All participants over 18 must hold a valid WWCC or equivalent.
4. Vehicle Requirements
• Vehicles must be registered, insured, and roadworthy.• Themed vehicles may be exempt with prior approval.
• Coaches, skateboards, motorised bikes (E Bikes) and motorised wheelbarrows are prohibited.
• Performance modifications are not allowed. Safety modifications are encouraged and permitted.
• Smoke-emitting equipment is prohibited.
• Sponsor/partner stickers must be displayed throughout the event.
5. Fees & Contributions
• A registration fee is required, payable to Variety Victoria.• Additional contributions (donations) must be secured and paid by the Mobile Workshop Weekend or as agreed with the Event Management.
• Fees and contributions are non-refundable.
• Further contributions may be made during the event.
• Variety does not provide tax or legal advice; participants should seek independent advice.
6. Documentation
• All participants must agree and sign the Variety Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Policy• Under-18 entrants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
7. Compliance & Conduct
• All road rules must be obeyed.• Participants must comply with all event regulations and the Code of Conduct.
• Fundraising activities must not breach laws or be likely to damage Variety’s reputation. If in doubt check with Event Management.
• No bank accounts may be operated under the Variety name or event names.
• Fundraising using the Variety name, including banners, signs stickers or clothing requires prior written consent.
• By registering and participating, Participants indemnify Variety against penalties or liabilities from their conduct and Variety accepts no responsibility for costs or damages relating to such conduct.
8. Alcohol & Drug Testing
• Variety may conduct random breath and drug tests for blood alcohol concentration compliance.9. Communications & Media Consent
• By registering, participants opt in to receive communications from Variety Victoria.• Participants also consent to the use of their photos/videos in marketing materials.
• If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, notify the Motoring Events Manager to receive a NO PHOTO sticker
