Remember your first bike? I'm Fundraising for Variety Bikes for Kids so all kids can have the joy of this memory

Hi Wayne Grech, is Supporting & Fundraising for Variety Bikes for Kids so all kids can have the joy of riding a bike.

I have signed up for the Bikes for Kids to provide a child in need their very first bike through the Variety Bikes for Kids program!

Q: How are we doing this? A: I will be riding my road bike from Hornsby in Sydney’s North to Berry on the NSW south Coast, a distance of some 200km with an elevation gain of 2000 mtrs in one day.  In a bid to raise funds and awareness for the Variety Bike for Kids program!

Q: When will this happen? A: 17TH of November 2024.

You can donate directly to Variety right here on this page.  For kids experiencing physical, mental, or financial disadvantage, the joy of receiving their first bike can seem like a distant dream. You can help provide a child with all the joy, fun with friends and fitness that owning a bike can bring, plus the ability that allows them to connect and join in with others, cannot be underestimated. Twenty-one years since the Variety Bikes for Kids program began, we want to celebrate by providing a record number of bikes for kids thanks to the kindness of people like you.

We all remember the memories of our very first bike - our first few wobbly pedals on training wheels, to the feeling of freedom and independence as we took our first solo ride! Let's make sure all kids have this memory!

One of many stories from Variety Bike for Kids program - Max's Story

Max, a resilient 10-year-old who loves hanging out with his friends and his cousin Riley. Max, navigating life with autism and ADHD amidst his family’s financial challenges, had a simple yet profound wish: to explore the world on two wheels.
Thanks to friends like you, Max received his first bike from Variety, igniting a spark of joy and freedom in his life. However, as he grew, so did his need for a new bike to continue his adventures. Recognizing the importance of connection and inclusion at an upcoming Cub Scouts cycling event, we knew something special had to be done. And just a few weeks ago, we visited Max and his mum Susan with a big surprise!

"My heart swelled with joy watching Max pedal away on his new bike, a gift from generous Variety supporters who believe every child deserves to laugh, explore, and simply be a kid."
These words remind us of the profound impact a single act of kindness can have.

A brand-new quality bike, helmet and lock to support one child costs $270.

Variety funds as many bikes as possible for disadvantaged kids to provide joy, inclusion, physical and mental benefits to kids who would otherwise miss out.  Due any number of reasons!
By making a donating you will be contributing to one of the most memorable moments in a child's life, owning their very first bike!

Are you ready? Let's ride!

Make a donation AND make a difference today!

All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and you'll receive an instant tax receipt from Variety - the Children's Charity.

Thank you so much for your kindness!

Regards,
