If you're like me, you'll have fond memories of opening presents and enjoying Christmas with your family as a child. As a parent, there is nothing greater than seeing a smile on the face of your own child.
It saddens me that there are children in our community that don’t have the opportunity to create such lasting memories for themselves.
Last Christmas, I had the privilege to volunteer at the Variety Kids Christmas Party. Being part of such a meaningful event and spreading the meaning of Christmas was a very humbling experience... and I can't wait to do it all again this Christmas!
Volunteering is always an enriching experience, and it was heartwarming to be part of an event where 5,000 gifts were provided to kids in need. For me, one of the most memorable parts was coordinating the Liberty Swing, where I assisted children of all abilities to enjoy the simple pleasure of playing and swinging; it was an unforgettable experience.
While we are all adjusting to the increased cost of living, please know that your tax-deductible donation to the Variety Christmas Appeal will directly contribute to this special event and provide a gifts for children who may otherwise miss out at Christmas.
